By the time they tie the knot, Marlowe and Jack will have known each other for 14 years, nearly half their lives!! In 2012, the two were paired up as homecoming dates by their friends. This match sparked absolutely nothing... at first. Throughout their years at Benet, Marlowe and Jack developed a close friendship and crushes along the way. For a while, one was more willing to admit it than the other... ;) It wasn't until sophomore year of college, Marlowe at Santa Clara and Jack at Miami University, that they finally reached a "more than friends" conclusion and decided to give a long-distance relationship a shot. The rest, as they say, is history, with 9 years together thus far and a lifetime to go!

Marlowe and Jack were in Santa Monica in late June 2024, preparing to move across the country for their new jobs. Marlowe had a sneaking suspicion that Jack was possibly going to propose that weekend, but he gave nothing away, to her, at least. All her friends and family had every detail ahead of time. They also gave nothing away!! Ever an optimist, but always a skeptic, Marlowe wrote off her intuition. A beachside toast to their upcoming move was followed by an afternoon coastal walk, which meandered up to Hotchkiss Park. Jack had perfectly planned the moment to catch Marlowe off guard. The couple now lives ten minutes away from that very spot!
