Transportation

Ride shares, public transit and rental cars are all easy and efficient in Chicago. On the wedding day, private shuttles will be available to take all guests from the church ceremony to the reception. It's about a 20-30 minute drive, and cocktail hour will start upon arrival. On Saturday, we recommend walking or ride-sharing to the church, taking the shuttle to the reception, and ride-sharing home at the conclusion of the evening, if you are staying downtown or near Chicago.
For those who are local or plan to drive, there are commercial parking structures and SpotHero spaces near St. James. Free and ample parking is also available at the reception venue. Please be responsible.

Airports

Both O'Hare and Midway are conveniently located to the city - take an Uber, L ride, or rental car easily from either!

Things to Do

A sampling of the many great activities Chicago has to offer...

Epicurean Pursuits

The Windy City offers an abundance of international cuisine: everything from no-frills to Michelin-starred. Have breakfast at Marlowe and Jack's #1 pick, Doma Cafe, grab sushi at hidden gem Jinsei Motto, or try Sparrow, Lazy Bird or The Drifter for a proper cocktail.

Art & History

We recommend the Art Institute, situated between two of Chicago's most famous parks! Or, enjoy architectural variety and city history on a boat tour of the river. Also of note: The Museum of Contemporary Art, Field Museum, Shedd Aquarium and Adler Planetarium (huge role in the love story!).

Shopping

You can't beat the historic glamour of the Magnificent Mile! Head north on Michigan Ave for upscale boutiques near Rush & State. Hop on the L to Lincoln Park's Armitage Ave or Lakeview's Southport corridor, or check out ever-buzzing Fulton Market!

Nature & Exercise

Log miles on the iconic lakefront trail, or try the 606 for a different view! We also love Garfield Park Conservatory, one of the country's largest botanical conservations. Lincoln Park offers beautiful views and history to boot, plus a Saturday farmers' market.
